Is The Calverton School accredited?

  • Yes, The Calverton School is accredited by the National Association of Independent Schools, the Association of Independent Maryland Schools (AIMS), and the Maryland State Department of Education.

What are the tuition and fees for the 2013-2014 school year?

  • The information regarding tuition and fees can be found HERE

Is there a discount for paying tuition in advance?

  •  Yes, there is a 2% discount for tuition paid for by July 1.

Does The Calverton School offer multiple student discounts?

  • There is no multi-student discount. Families can apply for tuition assistance based on need. For more information see the Financial Aid section.

Is financial aid available?

  • Yes. Calverton participates with Financial Aid for School Tuition (FAST) to assist in aid calculations. We also offer scholarships for our Upper School students. For more information about aid and scholarship, please click HERE.

Will financial aid cover my entire tuition or can I receive a full scholarship?

  •  We do not offer full tuition coverage or full scholarships. Financial aid covers 10% - 40% of tuition.

When should I apply to The Calverton School?

  • We begin accepting applications in October and make decisions for enrollment by February 1. We offer a rolling admission which means we accept students throughout the school year. Spaces fill up quickly—please don't wait to apply.

Is transportation available?

  • Yes. Calverton is committed to assisting our families with a safe and efficient means of transportation to and from school. For more transportation information please contact Bob Chapple, Director of Plant and Transportation at 410-535-0216 ext. 1123.
How many students are there per class?
  • Classes range from 10 - 16 in Preschool through 5th Grade and 12 - 20 in 6th through 12th Grade. We offer two sections of each grade for Kindergarten through 8th Grade and three sections of 9th - 12th Grades.
Is there a uniform requirement?

Yes. Calverton has an agreement with Dennis Uniform to meet all of our needs, K-12 (No uniform is required for K3 or K4). Visit our online store:  http://www.dennisuniform.com/
