Scholarship Day

The Calverton School invites all prospective NEW 9th and 10th grade students to participate in our Scholarship Day. Participants have two sessions to choose from, Saturday, January 20 (rescheduled from January 6 due to icy road conditions) at 9am or Wednesday, January 31 at 6pm. Registration is required.

ONE 4 YEAR Full Tuition Scholarship
with other partial scholarships to be awarded.

*Awards are annually renewable based on continued strong performance and good citizenship and only applies to enrollment at The Calverton School.

Scholarship awards will be based on academic strength, character reference, community service and extracurricular involvement, and community contributions.

On Scholarship Day, students will take the scholarship exam, tour our campus, and visit our Calverton Showcases to learn about our academics, arts, and athletics from our student ambassadors. The test will take approximately 60 – 80 minutes. Finalists for the full tuition scholarship will be invited back to campus to participate in a two-part interview process.

The student applicant must complete the requirements below to be considered for a scholarship by February 9, 2018.

REQUIREMENTS - To be completed by the student
- attend Scholarship Day and take the exam
- complete and submit a SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION
- submit your most recent report card
- submit a letter of recommendation
- submit a written essay answering this question: Other than academics, how do you plan to contribute to the Calverton community?

Please submit your scholarship application, report card, letter of recommendation and written essay to Mrs. Rhoads at by February 9, 2018.

Participants must have a completed application for admission on file to participate.

All participants will be contacted individually by phone once award recipients have been selected.

D.C. United and The Calverton School are hosting a 2-day identification session for soccer players interested D.C. United's Academy and their Residential Program for the 2018/2019 academic year. In partnership with The Calverton School, D.C. United's Academy will offer a five-day and seven-day residential program for domestic and international players, while also providing flexible academic schedules to local talent to allow for morning and afternoon training sessions. The program is in place to attract and nurture aspiring professional players.
