Scholarship Evening

Scholarships are available for prospective NEW students entering grades Kindergarten through 10th Grade.

The Calverton School invites students entering grades 6 - 10 to participate in our Scholarship Day exam on November 13. Registration is required. Middle/Upper Scholarship awards will be based on academic strength, character reference, community service and extracurricular involvement, and community contributions shown through the exam and scholarship application.

Lower School Scholarships will be determined by financial need, teacher recommendations, application process, family interviews, and Calverton need.

Top Scholarships include:

Upper School Scholarship
Full Tuition Scholarship (for 4 years) $22,000 per year

Middle School Scholarship
Full Tuition Scholarship (for 3 years) $20,800 per year

Lower School and other partial scholarships to be awarded.

At our Open House and Scholarship Day event, Middle and Upper students will take a short scholarship exam, tour our campus, and visit our Calverton Showcases to learn about our academics, arts, and athletics from our student ambassadors. The test will take approximately 30 - 45 minutes. Finalists for the Upper School full tuition scholarship will be invited back to campus to participate in a two-part interview process.

Middle and Upper School student applicants must complete the requirements below to be considered for a scholarship by February 3, 2020.

MIDDLE/UPPER SCHOOL REQUIREMENTS - To be completed by the student
- attend Scholarship Day and take the exam*
- complete and submit a SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION
- submit a written essay (please see supplemental written essay question below)
- submit your most recent report card
- submit a letter of recommendation

Supplemental written essay answering the following question: Other than academics, how do you plan to contribute to the Calverton community? Please note this is in addition to the question on page 2 of the scholarship application.

Please submit your scholarship application, report card, letter of recommendation and written essay to Dawn Rhoads at by February 3, 2020.

All participants must have a completed application for admission on file to participate.
