MIDDLE SCHOOL MATH TEACHER
The Calverton School seeks a full-time Middle School Mathematics teacher to teach a broad range of math courses to include core fundamental and Algebra 1 courses and electives such as Mathcounts and Robotics beginning in August of 2017.This teacher will have a creative approach to teaching to diverse learners in a small independent school setting.

Members of the Calverton Mathematics department are:

●Flexible, enthusiastic and creative teachers with a passion for guiding students in discovering the world around them.

●Dedicated to providing their classes with opportunities to test and develop their understanding of math.

●Committed to developing well-rounded learners in keeping with the school’s International Baccalaureate Programme and Philosophy of Honor.

The ideal candidate will have previous teaching experience at the Middle School level and possess a passion for the age group. MYP experience is desired. Candidates should hold a BS degree in middle school math. A Master’s degree is preferred.

Additionally, as a school, we seek a candidate who has knowledge and experience in using educational technology in the classroom, who brings an active interest in engaging in a 21st century learning community, who enjoys working with children of all ages, and who can contribute to campus life outside of the classroom through leadership of clubs, sports, or service.
