EDUCATION Morgan State University YEARS WORKING AT CALVERTON 8 Years WHY I LOVE WHAT I DO I love what I do because I genuinely love working with children. It is a privilege to watch them grow—not only as musicians, but also as confident, responsible, and creative young adults. Music gives students a place to express themselves, develop discipline, learn teamwork, and discover abilities they may not have known they possessed. One of the most rewarding moments for me is seeing a student struggle with something, keep working at it, and finally succeed. The confidence on that student’s face makes every challenge worthwhile. I also enjoy building relationships with my students and letting them know that someone believes in them. If I can help each student find a love for music, become more confident, and understand the value of hard work, then I know I have done something meaningful. FAVORITE PLACE OUTSIDE OF CALVERTON?
