Malena Brookshire is a finance executive with more than two decades of experience across the public and nonprofit sectors. Recognized as one of the Top 25 CFOs of 2023 by Finance & Investing, Malena has directed large-scale financial and operational reform and currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer at AmeriCorps, the independent federal agency for national service. Beyond her executive career, Malena is active in the community and has chaired and served on multiple nonprofit boards during periods of significant growth, bringing expertise in governance, audit, and strategic planning. Malena earned degrees in Economics and Mathematics, along with a Master’s in Public Administration. She is the proud mother of a Calverton student in the Class of ’32
