Reporting to the Middle School/Upper School Division Head, The Calverton School in Huntingtown, Maryland is seeking a full-time Upper School Science Teacher for the 2026-27 school year. This individual will be responsible for teaching courses that may include IB Environmental Systems and Societies, IB Sports, Exercise and Health Science, Earth Science, and Physical Science. Candidate will be: knowledgeable of biology, geology, meteorology, basic physics and chemistry, health science and global environmental issues; creative and resourceful when developing lesson plans that actively engage students in lab and field work; and able to develop a rapport with students. Experience with and/or enthusiastic about leading field trips; and thoughtful and constructive when working as a member of a team on departmental and division-wide projects. Candidate must be conscientious about meeting administrative deadlines. School will provide training for the International Baccalaureate course, as necessary.
