Calverton Sports Combine

The Calverton Athletics Department will host its first ever Basketball, Lacrosse, and Soccer.  Tri-Sports Combines this summer right here on our campus led by former Harlem Globetrotter/pro basketball player, Wayne Clark, who currently serves as Calverton’s Athletic Director. If you are an inspiring student/student athlete looking to be seen at the next level in front of college coaches or would like to further develop your skill set as a standout student athlete, then these are opportunities you don’t want to miss! 

At the sports combines, there will be college coaches observing players, skills and drills stations led by high level coaches from the surrounding area, and scrimmage games with everyone getting equal playing time.

Basketball Combine: June 26 - 28

Soccer Combine: July 10 - 12

Lacrosse Combine: July 24 - 26

Basketball Sports Combine

Fee - $300.00 usd (day participants only), $450.00 usd (overnight participants)

Ages: 14 to 18

  • June 26 – 28, Calverton Boys & Girls High School Basketball Combine – grades 8th - 12th (8th graders must be recommended by a coach they played for to participate in the combine with high school student athletes) Fee - $300.00 usd (day participants only), $450.00 usd (overnight participants) overnight participants will have the opportunity to stay in our residential housing on campus. Breakfast and dinner are included for overnight participants. 

June 26: 

  • 5:00 PM, arrival time for all participants, registration/ check in, shoot around, Introduction from Athletic Director, Wayne Clark 

  • 5:45 PM – 6:45 PM, break off into groups for skills and drills with coaches 

  • 6:45 PM – 7:00 PM, cool down stretching with coaches, wrap up for the evening 

June 27: 

  • 8:30 AM – 9:00 AM, participants arrive to gym for check in, shoot around 

  • 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM, skills and drills stations with coaches 

  • 11:00 AM – 11:10 AM, break 

  • 11:10 AM – 12:45 PM, scrimmages  

  • 12:45 PM – 1:00 PM, cool down stretching with coaches, wrap up for the day 

  • 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM, overnight participants go to Chesapeake Beach (weather permitting) 

June 28: 

  • 8:30 AM – 9:00 AM, participants arrive to gym for check in, shoot around 

  • 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM, skills and drills stations with coaches 

  • 11:00 AM – 11:10 AM, break 

  • 11:10 AM – 12:45 PM, scrimmages  

  • 12:45 PM – 1:00 PM, cool down stretching with coaches, wrap up for the day

**Note to campers and parents regarding housing/room and board – Overnight participants will have the opportunity to stay at one of our residential houses on campus where breakfast and dinner will be provided. (Participants will need to bring their own bedding and towels). A form that must be complete will be sent to campers after registration is complete.
