Due to Maryland licensing, Cougar Cub campers must be between the age of 3.5 and 5 by the start date of their camp. Youth Campers must be 6 years or older by the start date of their camp.
Prior to June 1, if your plans change, camp families will receive a refund, less the $25 deposit fee(s). No refunds will be issued two weeks prior to camp for absence, withdrawal, or dismissal. We reserve the right to cancel the Specialty Camps due to insufficient enrollment, and families will receive a full refund. Operation Exploration, Kids Club, and Cougar Cubs will not be canceled.
Code of Conduct:
To ensure that we provide quality summer experiences both on and off campus, we ask that all campers come prepared to participate with three standards in mind; all campers must be respectful to instructors and each other, responsible of personal belongings and behaviors, and ready to have fun and adventure!
Electronic Devices: We request that campers do not bring electronic games and devices with them as they will not be allowed to play them. At Calverton, we don't have locks on lockers so we cannot guarantee the safety of electronic devices. If a camper brings a cell phone, they must leave it in their book bag or locker during the day.
Drop Off, Pick Up, and Extended Day Care:
We are sorry for the inconvenience, but we will no longer be able to provide after care.
All parents/guardians must sign each camper in and out each day. If you have alternative arrangements, please provide a notice of authorized adults able to sign out your camper to email@example.com. Campers may arrive after 8:10 am and wait in the camp lobby with cards and games.
If you are more than 15 minutes late to pick up your camper, a $20 late fee will be assessed for each incident.
Registration and Payment Details:
Each camp remains open for registration until the Friday prior to the start date (unless full). Walk-in registration is not guaranteed due to staff to camper ratio regulations. Registration is payable online with credit card through CampDoc or you can pay ahead with a check (2 weeks prior to start of your camp). An initial deposit of $25 per camp is due at registration. The deposit secures your summer adventures! The remaining balance is on June 1. Camps are due in full after June 1. Campers who have not paid in full by camp start date will not be allowed to attend. Please also note there will be no camp on July 4th, so camp prices are prorated.
