Fiddle Camp

Ages: 4th grade - 8th grade
Dates: Week 3, July 1-5 (no camp on July 4)
Hours: 8:30 am to 12:00 pm
Fee: $125 for week

Have you always wanted to learn how to play the violin? Do you want to learn how to fiddle? Ms. Andie can show you how! Spend the week learning the basics of violin playing, learn about the history of fiddling, and be prepared to be able to perform a song or two at the end of the week! You'll need to bring your own violin, but music and supplies will be included.

Horseback Riding at Patuxent Run Stables

Ages: 6 to 13 years old
Dates: Week 4, July 8-12

Travel in our buses to and from Patuxent Run Stables where you will have a professional horseback riding lesson, learn about horse grooming and care, and observe onsite demonstrations from a competitive rider. Lead instructor, Savannah English, is available to speak with camp families about camper’s riding history and experiences to tailor individual lessons. Instructors have thorough and safe plans in place for all levels of experience.

Ultimate Guitar Camp!


Ages: 8 to 12 years old

Dates: Week 5, July 15-19
Hours: 8:30 am to 12:00 pm
Fee: $155

This is your chance to learn to play the guitar! Whether you are picking up guitar for the first time, or have been playing for years, this camp will help you develop your technique, reading, song writing and fingerpicking. We will learn songs in multiple genres, including pop, blues, folk, rock, and more.

Jonathan Crissman (jonathancrissman.com) has performed in 15 countries across 4 continents, and is excited to help you be the best guitarist you can be. You can bring your own (acoustic) guitar, or use one of ours. Music and supplies will be included.

Broadway Theater at Calverton-Production of Aladdin Jr!

Ages: 8 to 16 years old
Dates: Weeks 6 and 7, July 22 to August 2
Hours: 8:30 am to 4:00 pm (AM/PM session)
Fee: $450 for 2-week camp

Performances: Thursday August 1 at 1:30pm and 6:30 pm

Disney’s Aladdin JR. is based on the 1992 Academy Award®-winning film and the 2014 hit Broadway show about the “diamond in the rough” street rat who learns that his true worth lies deep within. The story you know and love has been given the royal treatment! Aladdin and his three friends, Babkak, Omar, and Kassim, are down on their luck until Aladdin discovers a magic lamp and the Genie who has the power to grant three wishes. Wanting to earn the respect of the princess, Jasmine, Aladdin embarks on an adventure that will test his will and his moral character. With expanded characters, new songs, and more thrills, this beloved story will open up “a whole new world” for our summer camp! Campers are involved with all aspects of this colorful musical: acting, singing, dancing, set design, costuming, lighting, and tech.

Campers must be available for the performance the evening of Aug. 1.

Kindergarten Kick-Off

Ages: 5-6
Dates: Week 8, August 5-9
Hours: 8:30 am to 12:00 pm (AM session)
Fee: $125

Participate in camp with Mrs. Short in our Kindergarten class and get ready for the school year! With story time, games, arts and crafts, and water fun designed specifically for upcoming Kindergartners! This is a great way for your child to socialize and transition to the big time – KINDERGARTEN!! Please bring a snack, change of clothes, towel and sunscreen each day.
